Titchwell Marsh Bedroom

Now cared for by the RSPB, Titchwell Marsh is located near the village of Brancaster. It is one of the best places in Norfolk to view a wide range of wildlife and visiting birds. The sites purpose is to carefully maintain the ecosystems and to help the life within it to flourish. One of the hardest tasks the site is faced with is the careful preservation of the two distinctive areas of the site - freshwater and saltwater habitats.

Many of the birds that can be seen at Titchwell are visiting and migrating from other foreign lands. As a result the wildlife on the site is constantly changing and this makes Titchwell a very popular place for bird watchers to make several, repeated visits during the year.

Titchwell Marsh also has archaeological significance with artefacts dating back to the Upper Paleolithic, and has remains of military constructions from both world wars. This includes brickwork from a first world war military hospital and other military evidence.
